Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hello, I am Jessica Hunter and I am very excited to have your child as one of my fabulous fourth grade students this school year! I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with both you and your child. This year will be packed full of learning and fun experiences that you and your child will not want to miss!
I believe that teacher-parent communication is extremely important and I encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns. I will be available by e-mail or school phone, or please feel free to send a note back in your child’s weekly Friday folder. You can also look for this information on this teacher web page. I will update it weekly! Please be aware of the weekly Friday folders that I will be sending home with your child each week as a form of communication. The Friday folder will hold your child’s behavioral chart for the week, any announcements, updates on student work, school events, classroom volunteer opportunities and other important announcements. Please take a look at your child's Friday folder to stay up to date, and return it in your child's backpack for Monday.
I would like you to know that I have high expectations for your child in fourth grade this year. I believe learning requires taking risks. In order to take risks, students need to feel welcomed and comfortable within my classroom and the school. I want each and every one of my students to feel comfortable and safe within my classroom, so they can take risks are learn throughout the school year. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that your child is working to the best of their ability and has an amazing experience in fourth grade.
Please remember that your thoughts, comments and questions are always important to me and I will be always be available in a timely manner to speak with you. I am excited to help your child grow as a learner and can’t wait to see what exciting experiences this year holds for us!
